The project is in progress: stay tuned!
Illustrations for the poem by Belarusian poet Dmitriy Strotsev
The illustrations took part in the Namiconcours 2017 in South Korea. The project was shortlisted and published in the competition catalogue.
Dmitry Strotsev's poem tells about the feelings of a robber to a beautiful lady. In my illustrations I wanted to show the contrast of the characters and worlds of the robber and the lady. The works are made in a mixed technique of collage and graphics.
The illustrations were collected into a project of the author's book, which I made by hand. The book combines traditional construction and "accordion".
Author's picture book about Girl and Troll
The project was created during my staying in the art-residency Leveldkunstnartun in Norway (June 2018). It's an author’s children's picture book, which illustrates a story about the girl who is looking for the Troll and never sees him, but he always sees her and sometimes puzzled by her strange actions. Therefore, the same story is shown by the eyes of Troll and the eyes of a girl (two sides of the same "accordion" book). The prototype of the book is assembled by hand for presentation and presented to the residency. The format of the book is 20 * 20 cm. Materials, which I used, were: cardboard, paper, textiles (for connections between pages), leather (for covers). Techniques: graphics, collage, burning on the skin (for the cover decor). This project took part in the Hiiibrand illustration contest in 2018.
Author's book for the story by Daniil Harms "When the wife leaves"
The book has the form of "harmonic" with panoramic illustrations and drawn using graphic technique with ink.
Author's book for the song by belarussian musician Mikhey Nosorogov
This brutal book is created for belarussian musician Mikhey Nosorogov and illustrates his song "100 years of loneliness". The book is made with natural leather, paper and carton board, using collage and graphic techniques.
The song is very personal, the experiences in it are felt physically, so the cover was decided in the form of a piece of genuine leather with a tattoo. In making the book, I used various materials to enhance the perception of the content through tactile sensations.
If I were to briefly describe the essence of the illustrated song: wherever the hero looks, he sees himself and his loneliness everywhere.
